Sunday tuckered me out! We chose Easter Sunday to move my man from his apartment to my place an hour north. Grabbing Sam and his bud Jimmie (Jordan begged off for the move), we made a pit stop in Portland to wish Michael a Happy Easter before making our way to UHaul to pick up a truck. What started off as wishful thinking for an arrival time of 9am ended up being a slow moving morning arriving around noon. Thankfully, his family had packed up the majority of the apartment so most of the move involved heavy lifting of furniture and boxes down three flights. We were blessed to have an elevator which made the move easier. We were also very thankful to have the youth of Sam and Jimmie, who busted their butts in getting couch, loveseat, TV's, dresser, etc. to the UHaul. We ended up departing around 5pm for home.
What took five hours to load took about 20 minutes to unload to the garage with the help of Jordan and another friend. It was also nice to arrive home and see Jordan had mowed the yard, cleaned the house, and did my laundry! After filling up the truck, I dropped it off then we made our way to Plaza Jalisco for an Easter/move celebration dinner. Our next step is to clean out the family room so we can move Michael's items into the house.
Here's to Michael getting stronger so he can make it to his new home - our home together - very soon!
