Skanky Straw, Sewing, and Sis

Used every day for my coffee is a thermal pink cup I bought from my brother's Seaside store that says "I'd rather be a mermaid!"  I added a hard plastic straw to it which is a bitch to clean!  For that reason I ordered some silicone straw cleaners - six for $5.99.  Upon receipt immediately put them to the test by scrubbing that filthy straw!  And boy oh boy if that skinny scrubber made quick work of skanky caffeine straw stains!

Had a surprise visit from sis Luna on Wednesday. We met up at Storyboard Delights, a local coffee, candy, and pastry shop. Luna had her regular petite cup of warm vegan chocolate and I tried the sugar free pumpkin latte. Then we swapped stories about life, leisure, and, showing evidence of our age, our health!  

Made a few brown paper patterns last weekend - a cat, mouse, and bird. Then jumped into my craft fabric, ribbon, trim, and button storage boxes to create the following whimsical characters.

On that note, only 49 days to Christmas!
