Shooting the shit
Comparing football scores
As if they were the secret
To the universe
Upholding diversity
a few female tokens
are invited to join
Encouraged to participate
even though sports is not
their area of interest
The result is the same
Give the men your advice
And perform clean up
On all their mistakes
So they can take credit
And receive the raise for the
Financial savings she incurred
Promote from within
The green young stud
Still wet behind the ears
Who now makes more
Than the silly girl with
Years of experience
The men are often confused
Mistaking a woman’s anger
And refusal to accept incompetence
As simply hurt feelings
Nullifying her value as she is
labeled a bitch or excluded
from the chatter of boys
This won’t last forever
Since a woman’s strength
Only grows with the obstacles
She conquers
And if it can’t been recognized in this one

A woman who can converse about more
Than football scores
