Mermaids and Hitchcock This Friday Night

Found a very promising job prospect today so scurried down to the employment office to apply.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

This afternoon I began working on a mermaid.  I had one of those wooden art models and figured it would make a good base for a mermaid.

Had a Goodwill dress in the closet that was never going to be worn so removed some fabric and beading from it.  Sewed a mermaid tail then began attaching all sorts of shells and trinkets to the art form.

The mermaid tail wasn't looking very much like a fishtail.  It actually looked akin to '70's disco pants!  Glued the tail together then created a new tail using the glue gun.  Painted it, attached it, and much better!!

All done for the night - will assess it tomorrow to see if it needs any tweaking.  Finishing Hitchcock's "Rope" then off to bed. Hope you all have a fabulous night!!
