Soup, Syphillus, and Sacajawea

The soup last night was amazeballs! Tons of veggies and my homemade stock was perfect!

Yesterday ended up feeling the 70's vibe so watched 1973's "Go Ask Alice" with William Shatner. Based on a true story (I remember reading the book) about a 15-year old naive teen who fell in with the wrong crowd and became addicted to drugs.  Was groovy to see all the 70's fashion, hair, and accessories.

Followed that movie up with "Someone I Touched", made in 1975 and starring Cloris Leachman and Glynnis O'Connor.

Plotline swirled around syphillus - who gave it to whom, who had an affair, who is keeping it a secret. Here's a clip from the movie where Glynnis tells her mom.  Okay, it's dramatic but they could have improved on the sound editing just a bit.

Last night laid out some workout wear with plans of walking before work. Well, that didn't happen. However, had made myself a commitment to exercise more so after work threw on my shorts and tee and walked from my house to Lake Sacajawea, walked around the entire lake then back home. This was close to five miles in total.

Such a gorgeous day couldn't help but snag a few pics along the way. Funny how we take things for granted. All this lovely environment with an accessible path to walk or run, meet with friends, or take your pooch for a stroll.  When it feels like the world is coming to an end, you begin to appreciate what you have and be thankful it's still available for use.
